The chapter was authored by Patrick Osu and Maryam Olaitan Bello and provides an overview of Nigeria’s legal and regulatory framework for aviation finance and aircraft leasing, covering key areas including financing structures, taxation, aircraft registration and deregistration, security, enforcement and repossession, the Cape Town Convention, insolvency, and emerging aircraft and engine technology.
