Dafenone is a solution Architect currently building professional competence in the business of law and legal solutions in dispute resolution and corporate commercial law practice in areas such as Energy and Natural Resources covering Solid Mineral development and mining transactions and oil and gas law, taxation law, aircraft lease transactions and aviation law, intellectual property and banking, finance and investment law. He has proven skills set in understanding diverse Clients’ needs and instructions requirements with a professional bias for dispute resolution mentored in the art by seasoned Commercial Litigators, Arbitrators and Arbitration Counsel.
He has very recently had the rare privilege as the Lead Counsel to INEC at both the Election Petition Tribunal and the Court of Appeal. He has also represented the Honourable Attorney General of the Federation (HAGF) and Minister of Justice and the Nigeria Customs Service as external Counsel before the Federal High Court and the National Industrial Court. He has also represented and still represent diverse Clients in contentious civil matters before the FCT High Court, Federal High Court and the National Industrial Court of Nigeria with proven competence in trial and appellate advocacy.
Dafenone has drafted, reviewed and adviced on several commercial and non-commercial transactions worth millions of Naira such as JVAs on commercial real estate projects, Microfinance Bank Acquisition Agreement, documentation on property acquisitions, amongst others applying his training in project management and contract.
Before joining the law firm of Ajumogobia & Okeke, Dafenone has also worked as part of consortium of law firm across Nigeria in highly contentious briefs both political and non-political with the privilege of being the coordinating Counsel for the team, the Secretariat and the briefs in public law practice areas cutting across criminal, constitutional law and commercial law.
